Spoilers ahead for the September 21, 2026 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw.
Monday Night Raw delivered one of its more chaotic episodes of the fall, but the chaos wasn’t without purpose.
The biggest development came when 946 abducted Solo Sikoa, escalating the faction’s increasingly personal war with The Bloodline. At the same time, Penta turned an unexpected opportunity into a Money in the Bank qualification, Roxanne Perez secured her own spot, Oba Femi made a dramatic return, and the World Heavyweight Championship picture continued to take shape around Roman Reigns.
The episode didn’t feel like a simple bridge between major events.
It felt like WWE was deliberately moving several pieces into position.
946 Finally Crosses the Line
The most shocking moment of the night came courtesy of Royce Keys, Lucien Price and Bronco Nima — collectively operating as 946.
The group has spent weeks sending increasingly threatening messages to The Bloodline. On Monday, however, the warnings became action.
Solo Sikoa was abducted.
That was the kind of moment that immediately changed the temperature of the entire storyline.
Jacob Fatu had repeatedly warned Jey and Jimmy Uso not to underestimate 946, but the Usos have struggled to understand exactly what their opponents are planning.
Solo’s disappearance makes those warnings impossible to ignore.
The storyline is working because 946 hasn’t needed to dominate the ring to establish itself. Instead, WWE has built the faction around unpredictability and intimidation.
Now they have taken one of The Bloodline’s most important figures.
And the question becomes what they intend to do with him.
Penta Turns Disaster Into Opportunity
Solo’s abduction created an unexpected opening in the men’s Money in the Bank qualifying match.
Penta took it.
Rather than allowing the disruption to derail the match, WWE used it to give Penta another major opportunity just one week after his World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns.
Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee to earn his place in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
It’s a smart continuation of Penta’s momentum.
He may have lost to Roman in Mexico City, but the loss hasn’t diminished his position on Raw.
If anything, Penta is beginning to look like someone who belongs in the upper tier of the roster.
His post-match confrontation with The Judgment Day only reinforced that point.
Dominik attempted to position himself as the rightful “King of the Luchadores,” but Penta wasn’t having it.
That exchange was short, but it gave Penta another opportunity to establish himself as a singles star rather than simply another member of the roster.
Penta’s Momentum Continues
One of the best things about Penta’s current storyline is that WWE hasn’t treated his loss to Roman Reigns as a setback that requires him to disappear.
Instead, the company is keeping him involved.
His Mexico City match with Roman was presented as a major opportunity, and now he has another path toward championship contention through Money in the Bank.
That creates an interesting possibility.
Penta doesn’t need to immediately get another title match.
He can win the briefcase and create an entirely different kind of threat.
The character suddenly has multiple avenues toward the World Heavyweight Championship.
Roxanne Perez Punches Her Ticket
Roxanne Perez also qualified for the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
Her qualification adds another important name to an increasingly competitive field.
Perez’s ability to combine technical wrestling with a willingness to take risks makes her particularly well suited to the chaos of a ladder match.
But the bigger story was how she got there.
Her confrontation with Lola Vice and the surrounding women’s division drama gave the qualification match more importance than simply being another tournament-style bout.
WWE is clearly using Money in the Bank to reshape the hierarchy of both divisions.
Oba Femi Is Back
One of the loudest reactions of the night came when Oba Femi returned.
Je’Von Evans found himself badly outnumbered during a confrontation involving The Vision.
Then Femi appeared.
The reaction from the San Antonio crowd was immediate.
Femi wasted little time getting involved and clearing the ring, reminding everyone why The Vision considered him a major threat in the first place.
The return was particularly effective because Femi didn’t need a long speech.
He simply showed up and started destroying people.
That’s exactly how a dominant wrestler should return.
The Vision Still Has a Problem
Bron Breakker and The Vision remain one of Raw’s most dangerous groups, but Femi’s return gives the faction another obstacle.
Paul Heyman attempted to emphasize the danger surrounding Femi, warning Bron that the former NXT powerhouse is still very much a threat.
That dynamic could become one of Raw’s more compelling rivalries.
Femi has the physical presence to stand across the ring from Breakker without looking outmatched.
More importantly, both men have been positioned as future championship-level performers.
Their conflict feels bigger than a standard television feud.
Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan Want the Same Thing
The women’s division also received attention when Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan both made it clear they want a shot at Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
The confrontation gave the champion another reason to pay attention to what is happening around her.
Stephanie has already dealt with interference from The Judgment Day, and now two major stars are positioning themselves for a title opportunity.
That creates a crowded championship picture.
Rather than having one obvious challenger, WWE is building several possibilities.
That’s good for the division because it prevents the title scene from becoming predictable.
LA Knight Calls Out Roman Reigns
LA Knight also continued his pursuit of Roman Reigns.
Knight made his intentions clear, vowing that he wants to defeat the World Heavyweight Champion.
The story is straightforward, but Knight’s ability to connect with the audience makes it work.
Roman doesn’t need another challenger simply because he’s champion.
He needs challengers who feel different.
Penta brought the athletic, lucha-libre style.
LA Knight brings personality and unpredictability.
That contrast helps keep Roman’s championship run from feeling repetitive.
What Worked
Best Storyline: 946 and The Bloodline
The abduction of Solo was the night’s biggest development and immediately raised the stakes.
Best Match: Penta vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee
The three-way qualifier gave Penta another opportunity to shine while keeping the Money in the Bank picture moving.
Biggest Pop: Oba Femi’s Return
Femi’s arrival completely changed the atmosphere of the segment.
Best Character Development: Penta
Rather than disappearing after losing to Roman Reigns, Penta immediately moved into another major storyline.
Most Intriguing Story: Solo’s Abduction
The big question coming out of Raw is what 946 actually wants from Solo.
What Could Have Been Better
The biggest weakness was the sheer number of storylines competing for attention.
946’s abduction of Solo was significant enough to dominate the episode, but Raw immediately moved into Money in the Bank qualification, The Vision, the women’s championship picture and the Roman Reigns/LA Knight story.
Some segments therefore felt more like setup than payoff.
The Penta story was also strong, but WWE needs to be careful not to move him through too many major opportunities too quickly. His World Heavyweight Championship program with Roman was still fresh, and now he’s immediately being positioned for Money in the Bank.
The upside is that Penta is clearly being treated as an important player.
Final Verdict
The September 21 episode of Monday Night Raw was an effective night of storyline advancement with one genuinely shocking development.
946 abducting Solo Sikoa was the moment that changed the episode.
Everything else felt like movement toward the next phase of Raw’s major stories.
Penta’s Money in the Bank qualification keeps him near the top of the card. Roxanne Perez gets an important opportunity. Oba Femi returns with an immediate impact. Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan add pressure to Stephanie Vaquer’s championship reign.
And Roman Reigns once again has challengers lining up.
The biggest success of the episode was that WWE didn’t simply rely on matches to create momentum. Several of Raw’s strongest moments came from character developments and storyline surprises.
Now the pressure is on 946.
They’ve spent weeks promising that they are coming for The Bloodline.
After taking Solo, they have everyone’s attention.
