2026 Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan has made a claim that a current Raw star “wouldn’t have lasted 12 years in WWE” like she has.
Morgan will challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42 in a feud largely built around their different journeys to this point.
While Vaquer had to grind for years on the indies and coming from a country that barely had a wrestling scene in Chile, Morgan was instead picked up by WWE and was trained in the NXT system.
A promo from Vaquer on Raw a few weeks ago accused Morgan of having everything handed to her, an idea that Morgan has fought against.
Again addressing their different paths to get to where they are, in an interview with The Collection, Morgan said:
“I think about the journey every single Monday that I’m at Raw, and I’m proud of my journey. I feel like it’s so much sweeter because it was on my time, and I did it my way, and I’ve always honored and stayed true to myself the entire time.
“It’s funny because Stephanie says, ‘You had the best of the best for your whole career.’ which is true, but the flip side of that is, Stephanie, there’s no way she would have lasted 12 years in WWE. She would have been gone.”
Liv Morgan Reveals Thoughts On Danhausen
Elsewhere in the interview, Morgan reacted to the recent WWE arrival of Danhausen and his antics thus far, which included cursing Dominik Mysterio shortly before he lost the Intercontinental Championship to Penta.
Morgan said:
“Danhausen could have come in to WWE and I would have been happy for him. Like, wow, what an amazing opportunity.
“But right away, he wants to ‘curse’ Daddy Dom and cause all this friction and trouble and chaos and confusion and paranoia.
“So I want him away from me. I want him away from the Judgment Day. I want him 1000 feet away from the clubhouse at all times.
“I have no interest in that man, and I hope he never approaches me. I hope he never comes up to me. I hope he never tries to look me in my eye. I hope he stays away from Daddy Dom. And that’s really it.”
Should Liv Morgan Win The Women’s World Championship At WWE WrestleMania 42?
Liv Morgan challenging Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title at WrestleMania 42 is one of the hardest matches to call on the lineup so far.
Morgan has proven herself to be one of the company’s most popular and recognizable faces as far as star power – undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the women’s division in that department, only behind the likes Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch.
However, from an in-ring perspective, Vaquer has shone since her arrival and won fans over in next to no time.
If WWE has significant plans to make sure Vaquer doesn’t cool off if she loses this match, a Morgan win might not be the worst thing, but the company should be very careful to not kill Vaquer’s momentum right now, because she could easily be another Ripley/Morgan level star if handled correctly.
