Two motorcyclists from the Twin Cities have died after they were involved in a crash in Wisconsin on Wednesday evening, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say that Tamitha Thein, 47, of Maplewood was heading north on State Road 35 and Evan Jorgenson, 26, of Cottage Grove was riding south when the two motorcyclists collided.
First responders arrived around 6:13 p.m. to the crash scene near 1050th Street in Oak Grove Township and both victims were taken to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul.
The sheriff’s office said that Thein and Jorgenson later died while at the hospital.
Officials did not say what led up to the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
