The road to WrestleMania 42 has already seen some significant title switches over the past few weeks.
At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Then on the March 2 episode of Raw, Penta dethroned Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Title.
Considering these recent title changes and the fact that there is more than 42 days left before WrestleMania 42, there might just be even more titles changing hands in the weeks to come.
Here are six more potential WWE title changes ahead of WrestleMania 42.
6. Cody Rhodes regains the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre

At the WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 premium live event, Randy Orton defeated Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, Trick Williams, LA Knight and Je’Von Evans to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber and earn a WWE Title shot at WrestleMania 42.
This win came as a result of Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre interfering in the bout to cost Rhodes another opportunity at a rematch against him.
SmackDown GM Nick Aldis then announced that McIntyre will defend his title against Rhodes one more time on the March 6 episode, which has led many to believe a title change is more than likely here.
Rhodes regaining the Undisputed WWE Championship against McIntyre could lead to a showdown with Orton at WrestleMania 42 that many fans have been begging for years to see.
5. IYO SKY wins the WWE Women’s United States Championship from Giulia

Ahead of the February 20 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, fans were excited to learn that IYO SKY was set to face Guilia for the first time in a WWE ring.
However, WWE abruptly announced that Rhea Ripley was replacing IYO in this bout against “The Beautiful Madness.”
While they were denied this bout the first time, fans shouldn’t have to wait long before seeing IYO and Giulia do battle on the road to WrestleMania 42.
SKY defeating Giulia to biome the new WWE Women’s United States Champion could happen in the coming weeks, which would allow IYO to be on the same show as her tag team partner and number one contender Rhea Ripley as well.
4. The Wyatt Sicks beat The MFTs to win the WWE Tag Team Championships

The war between The Wyatt Sicks and The MFTs has been well documented over the past few months.
On the January 23 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga of the MFTs defeated The Wyatt Sicks to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.
This means that The MFTs have possession of both the tag titles and Uncle Howdy’s sacred lantern as well.
Wanting to get revenge as WrestleMania 42 approaches, The Wyatt Sicks could beat The MFTs to recapture the WWE Tag Team Championships on SmackDown.
3. The Vision’s Logan Paul & Austin Theory defeat The Usos to win the WWE World Tag Team Championships

To start the February 27 edition of SmackDown, Jey Uso was seen laid out backstage after a mystery attack.
Shortly after this assault, The Vision arrived at the arena and proposed Logan Paul take Uso’s place in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match.
Then on the March 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, Jimmy Uso attacked The Vision and faced Austin Theory in singles competition before Jey Uso made his return to have his twin brother’s back against Paul Heyman’s faction.
This should all set the stage for The Vision to challenge and potentially defeat The Usos to win the World Tag Team Championships before WrestleMania 42.
2. Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss become two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against The Irresistible Forces

In the summer of 2025, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss came together and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at SummerSlam.
Their title reign ended in November 2025 at the hands of The Kabuki Warriors, but it also involved outside interference from Nia Jax and Lash Legend.
Now known as The Irresistible Forces, Jax and Legend defeated RHIYO to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships on the February 27 Friday Night SmackDown.
With their longstanding rivalry that dates back to Legend’s arrival on SmackDown, it would make sense if Bliss and Flair were the first challengers for The Irresistible Forces and have what it takes to become two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
1. Tiffany Stratton dethrones Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship

At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, Tiffany Stratton made her return to the company for the first time since losing the WWE Women’s Championship last November.
This night saw Stratton make it to the final two in the Women’s Royal Rumble before being eliminated.
Then at WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, Stratton was once again the last to be eliminated in the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match won by Rhea Ripley.
Wanting to set up a singles meeting with Ripley at WrestleMania 42, Stratton could be the one to dethrone Cargill and take back the title she lost in 2025.
