An unaccounted person who could not be found following a St. Louis Park house fire has been found dead.
In an update provided by the St. Louis Park Fire Department Sunday afternoon, it was announced the missing man had been found deceased. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, and the incident is still under investigation.
The St. Louis Park Fire Department (SLPFD) said it was alerted to a potential fire in the 3000 block of Edgewood Avenue South in St. Louis Park just after 7 a.m.
Upon arrival, SLPFD found a house on fire.
Fire crews who spoke with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS at the scene said there were two adult men inside the home at the time of the fire, with multiple pets.
One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, while the other individual had not been accounted for until they were later found deceased.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
