Kit Wilson Addresses WWE WrestleMania 42 Moment Being ‘Ruined By Danhausen’

Kit Wilson has addressed his WWE WrestleMania 42 moment alongside The Miz and John Cena being ‘ruined by Danhausen’.

Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 saw John Cena continue his role as host, announcing the attendance for April 20 as 55,255.

The retired WWE star would find himself interrupted by the duo of The Miz and Kit Wilson, only for Danhausen to make an appearance with a troupe of mini versions of himself.

Despite declaring the diminutive Danhausens as “toxic”, and The Miz accusing the Very Nice, Very Evil star of “turning WrestleMania 42 into a circus”, the mood wouldn’t be dampened, although Wilson would take a low blow, before being set upon by the troupe.

Wilson was less-than-thrilled with what happened at his first WrestleMania appearance, revealing that he now hates Danhausen, stating on Instagram:

“Two Goats, a future GOAT and a whole lot of Hausen’s.

“Miz was giving me a cheeky impromptu class of “How to make your own Wrestlemania moment”, only for it to be ruined by Danhausen.

“He’s got a maniacal evil genius complex, and that’s pretty toxic if you ask me. I actually hate him now. He’s not even funny. And he’s goofy looking.

“Don’t DM me, I need time to emotionally get over this sass.”

Cena would have a more positive response to his experience has host of WWE WrestleMania 42, with Danhausen also sharing his thoughts.

Kit Becomes The Perfect Fit

As one half of Pretty Deadly, Kit Wilson was equally as entertaining as his tag team partner, Elton Prince, currently sidelined through injury that required neck fusion surgery, bringing an English charm and sense of camp to WWE.

A tag team for more than a decade, they would both sign with WWE in 2019, becoming NXT UK Tag Team Champions, before heading Stateside and gaining a two-time run as NXT Tag Champions.

With little modification to their personas, Pretty Deadly would head to the main roster in 2023, continuing to entertain until the neck injury that would see Wilson without a tag team partner for the first time in quite a stretch.

Options were available to Wilson, although his reinvention in early 2026 was a make-or-break moment for the singles star. And, “make” it very much has been, with the star sharing the level of input he has had to his presentation, challenging toxic masculinity wherever he sees it (which is largely everywhere), while still having a nod to his Pretty Deadly past.

The association with The Miz has elevated Wilson even further, with the opportunity at WrestleMania to stand in the ring with John Cena yet another example of how far the young star has come this year alone.

From the catch entrance theme to his feud with Danhausen, Wilson has found an ideal niche to occupy in WWE and, very much like his current foe, is able to slip in and out of interactions with other stars and their own storylines without taking away from either party.

While a return for Pretty Deadly isn’t far from Wilson’s mind, the investment that he has in his current character and the fan reaction have paid off for WWE.
