The second official WWE match for Jelly Roll has been confirmed as we head towards WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada next month.
Jelly Roll made his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam last year, teaming with Randy Orton in a loss to Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre.
He recently returned to SmackDown and became embroiled in a feud with The Miz and Kit Wilson.
Last week, Jelly struck Miz after Wilson interrupted their Miz TV interview segment.
This week, Jelly was back on WWE SmackDown again, answering a call-out from Wilson who wanted to settle things “like men.”
However, Wilson’s idea of settling things like men was very different to what Jelly was thinking, as Wilson refused to fight.
He even refused a rap battle, instead opting for a round of “slam poetry.”
Ultimately, their segment ended with Wilson attacking Jelly Roll before Jelly demanded a future match against Wilson.
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis complied with Jelly’s request, and announced the match for next week’s episode.
So, officially, it’s Jelly Roll vs Kit Wilson on WWE SmackDown next week on March 27.
Prior to calling out Jelly Roll tonight, Kit Wilson was backstage with Miz, and it was Miz who said Wilson should go out and handle business by himself.
Wilson and Miz were interrupted by Danhausen, who continues to demand mentorship from Miz, who repeatedly refuses to do so.
As a result, Danhausen’s curse on Miz continues, with Miz being struck by a nearby ladder that fell on top of him.
Jelly Roll WrestleMania Plans
It’s somewhat surprising that Jelly Roll has a match before WrestleMania, but he is still expected to compete at that event as well.
A this point, a likely direction would see to potentially be Kit Wilson and The Miz continuing their alliance to face Jelly Roll and a partner.
Who that partner could be remains to be seen, but Danhausen is an option given his recent conflicts with Miz.
