“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” stars Destiny Payton and Latisha Scott fell out amid Latisha’s feud with Nell Fletcher. Latisha believes Destiny shows more loyalty to Nell, and she doesn’t hold Nell accountable for her actions.
In an upcoming episode, Latisha and Destiny attempt to talk out their issues in front of Kimmi Scott. Destiny vents her frustrations to producers in a green screen interview.
“They have this imaginary issue, and they’re trying to make it land and make me feel a way about something they can’t even tell me or give me an example of. Give me something that I can actually maybe take and say okay, I can own that. Or like get out my face, that’s stupid, whatever. But I can’t even get that besides your energy like…”
Latisha says, “Well, at the end of the day, I don’t remember exactly what Destiny said. However, I do remember I didn’t like the way she was handling the situation. I felt like you was taking a side and you was taking Nell’s side. So the thing is that I don’t want it to continue to be a pattern. You said that, even when it was with the Martell situation, ‘Well, I’ve known Martell longer, and I met you guys through Martell. It just started making me question everything.”
She adds, “I’m like, well, okay, because you have known Martell longer and you met us through Martell, does that mean your relationship with Martell is more important than our relationship? And you’ve known Nell longer than you’ve known me. Does that mean that your loyalty is more towards them?”
In return, Destiny asks, “Have I shown you that?”
Latisha answers, “You have not.”
After Latisha says the issue is that she felt like Destiny was defending Nell, Destiny expresses frustration with not being able to move forward from something she already apologized for.
“And I acknowledged how you felt, and I apologized. I don’t know what more you want me to do, and I’m not groveling and kissing ***,” says Destiny.
Latisha responds, “I don’t want you to grovel. I don’t want you to kiss my ***. But I do want you to acknowledge how I feel about something.”
Destiny questions how many more times she needs to apologize for Latisha to move on. She is just about over the conversation.
“I feel like I’m being gaslit right now. I asked you a question, and you didn’t answer it.”
Latisha thinks Destiny is trying to play the victim.
“Jesus Christ. ‘Ganged up on. Gaslit.’ What else, girl? You gonna be the victim, too?”
