Search continues for Brooklyn Park suspect
Brooklyn Park police are looking for an armed suspect who fired multiple shots during a family dispute on Monday night, causing a neighborhood to go on lockdown.
Officers responded to 78th Avenue North in Brooklyn Park at about 9:40 p.m. after someone reported shots fired.
The 911 caller said that the suspect left on foot and police asked people nearby to shelter in place.
Multiple armored vehicles, SWAT teams and the Minnesota State Patrol helicopter helped with the search, but after several hours, the suspect was not found.
A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer captured a large police response in the area.
A nearby resident told us that SWAT vehicles were on his street, and he could not return to his home.
Police did not say if anyone was injured during the incident.
