Influencer Alix Earle opened up about an emotional and awkward reunion with her ex-boyfriend, NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios, during a recent music festival in Aspen, Colorado, amid ongoing rumors of a casual connection with retired quarterback Tom Brady.
Earle, 25, detailed the encounter in a candid TikTok video posted Feb. 25, describing it as her first time seeing Berrios, 30, since October — months after their breakup was confirmed in December following more than two years of dating.
“It was honestly just really hard for me — really weird, really hard. I was really emotional,” Earle said in the clip, captioned “Wednesday chat.”
She explained that on the first night at the Palm Tree Music Festival, the two were in the same venue but avoided greeting each other. “I didn’t want to go up and annoy him,” Earle said, noting she could see him from the corner of her eye.
The pair briefly exchanged hellos the following night, but Earle called the overall experience difficult.
“It’s weird when you go from someone being like your best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room,” she said. “So that was tough, and by tough I mean terrible.”
The Houston Texans player and the social media star — known for her “Hot Mess” podcast and “Dancing with the Stars” appearance — ended their relationship late last year. Earle previously shared in an emotional video that she felt she “can’t be what Braxton needs,” citing strains from his NFL schedule and her own commitments, while emphasizing they remained friends and asking fans not to send hate.
The Aspen run-in drew attention partly due to Earle’s recent sightings with Brady, 47. The pair sparked romance speculation after being spotted together on New Year’s Eve in St. Barts and later dancing at a Super Bowl party in San Francisco during Super Bowl LX, where the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots.
Sources have described the Earle-Brady interactions as casual and ongoing but not serious, with one telling outlets they have been “hooking up” since the New Year’s event. Neither Earle nor Brady has publicly confirmed a relationship. Brady has been single since his 2022 divorce from Gisele Bündchen, with whom he shares three children.
Despite the emotional weight of seeing her ex, sources close to Earle have said she “isn’t fazed” by Berrios potentially moving on and wants him to be happy as she focuses on her own healing.
The brief festival interaction appears limited to polite acknowledgment, with no indication of further attempts to reconnect or talk beyond the initial hello. Earle addressed fan questions directly in her video, providing clarity on the unexpected moment amid swirling headlines about her post-breakup life.
