Following their victory over the Dallas Stars this week, the Minnesota Wild are now gearing up for their series against the Colorado Avalanche.
The NHL announced that Game 1 of the second-round series between the two teams is set for 8 p.m. CT on Sunday in Denver.
A start time for Game 2 of the series has not been announced at this time.
The Minnesota Wild come into the series days after they defeated the Dallas Stars 5-2 on Thursday, advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2015.
To reach the second round, the Avalanche swept their series against the Los Angeles Kings, winning four games in a row. Colorado was also the recipient of the Presidents’ Trophy for finishing the regular season with a 55-16-11 record, the best in the NHL.
The matchup between the Wild and Avalanche marks the eighth time in NHL history that a series features at least seven players from that season’s Olympic gold medal game.
