A WWE star has reportedly been legitimately ‘significantly fined’ ahead of tonight’s SmackDown following a video shared last week.
Ahead of his appearance on last week’s WWE SmackDown show, Tama Tonga shared footage from the shows rehearsals on his Tik Tok account, which you can see here.
The video showed Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, among others, in the ring practicing for the show, which would see Orton turn on Rhodes ahead of their WrestleMania clash.
Tama Tonga Legitimately Fined By WWE
Ahead of tonight’s show, Andrew Zarian shared an update, noting that the word going around at the show is that Tama Tonga had been fined by WWE for sharing a video of the rehearsals.
Zarian notes that the fine was ‘significant’, as WWE has an unwritten rule about not recording during rehearsals.
He tweeted:
Word going around at SmackDown is that Tama Tonga was fined by WWE for posting a video of rehearsals last week. Was told it was significant of a fine.
WWE has an unwritten rule about not recording/posting during rehearsal.
What’s In Store For Tama Tonga & The MFTs
While the MFTs have been feuding with the Wyatt Sicks for many months at this point, a separate story has been taking place with Tama Tonga specifically, which has seen Shinsuke Nakamura attempt to pull Tonga from the MFTs.
Tama Tonga has been impressing during his matches and the MFTs’ matches in recent weeks, including scoring pinfall victories over Nakamura, Ilja Dragunov and the United States Champion Carmelo Hayes.
With Shinsuke Nakamura and Tama Tonga having previous history in New Japan Pro Wrestling, as well as Nakamura needing help to combat the numbers game of Solo Sikoa and the MFTs, there has been speculation that Nakamura himself could be forming his own group on SmackDown, which would include Tonga and reported upcoming WWE signings EVIL and Hiromu Takahashi following their NJPW departures.
What Will Happen On Tonight’s WWE SmackDown?
Tama Tonga is set to be in action on tonight’s WWE SmackDown show, where he and Solo Sikoa will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against the team of Damian Priest and R-Truth.
While the Wyatt Sicks continue to want revenge on the MFTs for stealing their lantern, we may see a title change take place tonight on SmackDown, which would see Truth and Priest carry the titles into WrestleMania.
