An unruly passenger aboard a plane traveling from Chicago to Minneapolis caused the flight to make an unplanned stop in Wisconsin.
According to United Airlines, United flight 2005 landed in Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday night to address a security concern involving an unruly passenger on board.
Dane County Regional Airport, where the plane landed, stated the passenger had to be restrained and later handcuffed due to their actions. However, what exactly the passenger did was not stated.
The passenger was removed from the aircraft and taken into custody by Dane County Sheriff’s Deputies; federal authorities will be handling the investigation.
According to United, the flight had 147 passengers and 6 crew members on board; no injuries were reported.
