
The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in Fridley, which left a woman in critical condition Saturday night.
According to the sheriff’s Office, the shooting was reported around 9:03 p.m. in the area of Interstate 694 and University Avenue Northeast in Fridley.
A woman had reportedly been driving an SUV when she was shot by an occupant of a separate vehicle.
The SUV then left the roadway and stopped near the Interstate 694 ramp.
The woman was taken to the local hospital for treatment, where she remains in critical, but stable condition. A juvenile passenger was also in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, but was not injured.
All northbound lanes of Highway 47 were closed between Anoka County Road 102C-County Road 4 and I-694 due to the investigation, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
Those roadways have since reopened.
