An investigation is underway after a shooting in Minneapolis on Saturday left a woman dead.
Minneapolis police said that at around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to an apartment on the 2400 block of Pillsbury Avenue South for report of a shooting.
Law enforcement found a woman with a life-threatening gunshot wound, who was brought to the hospital and died.
Police say that an argument inside an apartment resulted in shots being fired, with the suspected shooter leaving the scene before authorities arrived.

“Tragically, another person has lost their life after a firearm was apparently used during an altercation,” said Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara. “This is a senseless loss of life, and our investigators will take all necessary steps to ensure the person responsible is held accountable.”
