In a moment that feels like it belongs on a late-night talk show nobody asked for, Mase decided to break down why Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson didn’t work out. And according to him, it had absolutely nothing to do with personality, timing, or, you know, actual relationship dynamics. He went with occupation, height, and skin tone.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Mase basically said Klay is too much of a catch. Too tall, too successful, too aesthetically gifted? Mase says Klay could “get any woman” because he’s an NBA star, tall, and has the kind of look that apparently unlocks VIP access to the entire dating pool.
“Klay is 6’7”, light-skin with good hair as an athlete,” Murda said at the 43:47 minute mark. “He didn’t need Megan. If you 6’7” and you’re light-skinned with good hair, you could have anybody. I think we all know that.”
He continued, “Ladies, tell the truth. A guy in the hood could be six feet or tall, light skin with good hair, and he’s going to have his pick of the litter wherever he go.”
But Stat Baby disagreed with saying:
“I feel like you guys are contradicting what you’re saying ‘cause if you can choose anybody, he still chose her. So, I don’t understand.”
When Mase explained that Thompson “didn’t choose her” because he was allegedly unfaithful, Stat put forward that he “initially” chose her.
“If you cheated, you didn’t choose her,” Mase doubled down, prompting Stat Baby to say, “A lot of people choose people that they unfortunately still cheat on. Beyoncé got cheated on.”
“He didn’t choose it. That’s why he’s out,” Mase responded, speaking of Thompson.
At the end of the day, Megan and Klay’s situation is their business. Sometimes things don’t click, sometimes timing is off, and sometimes, people just decide to go their separate ways without needing a full ESPN-style breakdown.
But leave it to Mase to turn a simple “it didn’t work out” into a scouting report.
