On the 17th anniversary of his death, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to come forward with any information they may have surrounding Jelani Dante Brinson’s death.
On April 25, 2009, Brinson was discovered deceased in a pond at an Anoka golf course. He hadn’t been seen for over a week and was last seen on April 17 in the area of Kennedy Street behind the county fairgrounds.
His death was considered suspicious by authorities, with his cause of death being undetermined and his body showing no signs of trauma. Tracks leading up to the pond indicated he had been running across the golf course before his death.
