A Burnsville man was killed Tuesday night after he lost control of his motorcycle and was thrown from it.
The Minnesota State Patrol identified the man as a 29-year-old from Burnsville, whose identity would be released on Thursday.
Traveling on a 2020 Suzuki GSX-S, the State Patrol said the driver was on southbound I-35E, south of Highway 77, when he drove the motorcycle into dirt and gravel at around 9:35 p.m.
After driving into the new terrain, the State Patrol said the rider lost control of the bike and was thrown off it. He died from his injuries.
No other vehicles were involved, and the crash remains under investigation.
