A driver was sentenced Friday to 26 years in connection with a crash that killed two women in north Minneapolis in 2024.
Teniki Latrice Steward, 40, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and criminal vehicular operation in February.
According to court documents, Steward was speeding on Emerson Avenue in December 2024 and ran a red light, hitting a Ford Explorer. Both of the women inside the vehicle, Esther Fulks, 53, and Rose Reece, 57, died in the crash.
