NFL insider Dianna Russini’s social media posts and on-air remarks about her marriage to Kevin Goldschmidt have drawn renewed attention on X after paparazzi photos of her with New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel at an Arizona resort sparked speculation about an inappropriate relationship. Both Russini and Vrabel have described the images as showing a “completely innocent” professional interaction.
Russini, a senior NFL insider for The Athletic and The New York Times, married Goldschmidt, a vice president of human resources technology at Shake Shack, in 2020. The couple have two young sons. In recent days, users on X have shared and discussed several of Russini’s earlier public statements about her husband, framing them as examples of disrespect. The posts and clips, some originally shared by Russini herself years ago, have gone viral as the Vrabel photos circulated.
One of the most widely shared items is a 2021 clip from ESPN’s “Get Up!” that Russini posted to her X account (@DMRussini) on May 27, 2021. While discussing Aaron Rodgers’ then-engagement to actress Shailene Woodley and his social media habits, Russini said on air:
“I think we all do weird things when we’re in love. We overshare and over-post. I’m married to someone average. I don’t post a lot about him. If I was married to someone beautiful, I’d over-post too. … We’re average together.”
She added, “The guy’s got a heart of gold and here I am on national TV killing him,” before joking that the segment could lead to divorce. Her accompanying X caption read: “I blame Aaron Rodgers for my potential divorce.” The video has been reposted and quoted extensively in recent days, with some users calling the remarks “ruthless” or a public slight.
A more recent post by Russini herself, dated Jan. 28, 2026, has also resurfaced. In it, she wrote: “My husband doesn’t text me. It’s a problem in our marriage actually.” The comment, which originally drew hundreds of likes and replies, has been highlighted in threads criticizing her tone toward Goldschmidt.
Another widely circulated clip, from a September 2024 appearance on the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, shows Russini addressing her husband’s reaction to Philadelphia Eagles losses. In the segment, she said:
“Grow up. You’re a father. I don’t want our children having a culture where mommy and daddy’s tone in this house is based on the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s so stupid.”
The audio has been shared on X with captions labeling it as “shredding” her husband, who is reportedly an Eagles fan.
Additional older remarks have circulated in screenshots and quotes, including lighthearted jokes about her husband not making pasta for Mother’s Day (“Guess that’s a no”) and references to their marriage “falling apart” or other family dynamics. Some users on X have compiled these into threads, arguing they show a pattern of publicly teasing or criticizing Goldschmidt.
Russini has not publicly addressed the resurfaced comments as of Wednesday evening. In response to the Vrabel photos, which were first reported by Page Six and showed the pair at a luxury resort in Sedona, Ariz., both she and Vrabel issued statements calling the encounter professional and “completely innocent.” Vrabel, who is married with children, and Russini have emphasized there was no romantic involvement.
The episode has fueled widespread discussion on X, with some posts expressing sympathy for Goldschmidt and others treating the situation as tabloid fodder. As of Wednesday, the original 2021 clip and related commentary continued to accumulate views and reactions across the platform.
