A man charged in connection with a fatal December 2024 crash has been sentenced after previously accepting a guilty plea in Ramsey County Court.
Nicholas Price, 38, was sentenced to 166 months (13 years and 10 months) after pleading guilty to fleeing a police officer. A charge for criminal vehicular homicide was dismissed as part of the plea deal.
He will receive credit for 468 days served.
Charges were brought against Nicholas Price in December of 2024 when his ex-girlfriend called authorities, claiming that he had shoved her against a wall and threatened to set her on fire, amongst other things.
A few hours after her statement, Roseville police saw Price’s vehicle and attempted to pull the vehicle over, but Price drove away.
He later crashed into another vehicle in Maplewood, breaking his leg in the crash. The collision also killed the driver of the other vehicle.
At the time of the crash, Price had already been convicted of three felonies, facing three felony charges and was pending trial on three separate felonies.
