Another new WWE WrestleMania 42 theme song has now officially been confirmed by Triple H ahead of the show.
With just over four weeks to go before WrestleMania 42, the matches for the show are beginning to take shape, with five matches set for the show so far.
In the lead up to WrestleMania, WWE has been using Aerosmith’s ‘Back In The Saddle’ as the official theme song for the event, used in the commercials as well as match card announcements.
However, WWE has typically used multiple songs as the theme song for WrestleMania, and another new WrestleMania 42 theme song has been announced.
WWE Announces Nickelback’s Bones For The Crows As WrestleMania Theme Song
Today, Nickelback officially released their newest single ‘Bones For The Crows’, now available to stream on all music platforms.
Following the release of the song, Triple H took to social media, where he officially announced that the song would be one of this year’s WrestleMania theme songs.
He wrote:
They’ve rocked with us for over 20 years, and their new song will soundtrack the Grandest Stage of Them All.
@Nickelback’s “Bones For The Crows” is an official #WrestleMania theme song.
Nickelback have been providing theme songs for WWE events for many years now, most notably their song ‘Burn It To The Ground’ being used as the theme song for WWE Raw from 2009 to 2012.
With Aerosmith and Nickelback announced as WrestleMania theme songs, this seemingly brings an end to The Weeknd’s streak of being used as the theme song for WrestleMania, which began back at WrestleMania 36 in 2020.
What Will Happen At WWE WrestleMania 42?
WWE has five matches currently set for WrestleMania 42, which includes the four world championship matches, as well as Oba Femi’s clash with Brock Lesnar.
While all four titles are currently favoured to change hands at the show of shows, there will likely be some titles that remain with the current holders.
WWE has a number of potential options for Roman Reigns and CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship clash, which could see the Usos interfere to either aid or cost Roman the match.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes only just regained the Undisputed WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre ahead of his match with Randy Orton, so WWE may see it as too soon to once again take the title from Rhodes.
