Nattie (previously Natalya) has commented on a current WWE champion undertaking training at The Dungeon 2.0 facility.
While Nattie may be a less-than-forgiving persona in WWE at the moment, the real-life star has shared her praise of Laynie Luck following a recent training session.
The current WWE ID Women’s Champion, who recently had her first victory on Evolve, attended a training session at The Dungeon alongside Nikki Blackheart, Midas Black and Liv Morgan.
The footage was shared on Natalya’s Instagram Story and was shared online, with Luck commenting:
“yall see me??”
Natalya would respond go the message from Luck, sharing praise of her own, tweeting:
“Loved having you there @LaynieLuck!!”
Luck would respond with her respect for the veteran WWE star, posting:
“ You’re the boat for a reason, Nattie.”
The training session may be to prepare Luck for her next title defense on March 22, when she steps into the ring with Allie Katch at Women’s Wrestling Revolution Plus Tournament For Tomorrow.
Training The Future Greats, The Nattie Way
A former WWE Divas Champion and SmackDown Women’s Champion, Natalya has also seen tag team success, holding the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Tamina.
The daughter of Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart, Natalya was trained by the Hart family and would sign with WWE in 2007, but wouldn’t open her own facility until the early 2020s.
It isn’t unusual for The Dungeon to run sessions featuring WWE stars, with a recent class seeing Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer take part.
Natalya’s training skills are also being taken to WWE LFG, the A&E series, where she will coach future stars as they compete for a contract, joining Kevin Owens as a new coach alongside Booker T and Bubba Ray Dudley in season three.
Playing host to independent wrestlers, The Dungeon has previously seen praise from Brodie Lee Jr, the son of the late AEW star, who shared his thoughts on learning under Natalya and her real-life husband, TJ Wilson.
Named after the original Dungeon, run by the legendary Stu Hart, Natalya described the new facility as “love letter to pro wrestling” on a past episode of the Joe Vupis Podcast.
With a facility that attracts WWE, AEW and independent wrestling stars, Natalya has revealed how John Cena gave hours of his time to speak to those training at the facility last year.
Natalya seemingly runs The Dungeon as a passion project, having previously stated that she doesn’t take money for training sessions while speaking on Busted Open Radio. More than money, it appears that the WWE star sees the attitude of trainees as the important currency.
