A man in his 50s was seriously injured after a stabbing in Morrison County on Sunday morning, and a 23-year-old man was taken into custody.
Deputies from the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home off of Cherry Lane in Scandia Valley Township, about six miles from Motley, around 7:15 a.m. on a report that a person had been stabbed.
Law enforcement at the scene found a 53-year-old Motley man with several stab wounds, according to the sheriff’s office. He was brought to Lakewood Health Systems in Staples before being transferred to St. Cloud Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
Deputies detained a 23-year-old man and brought him to Morrison County Jail, where he is awaiting formal charges.
