Bloomington police respond to a shooting on the 7900 block of Bloomington Avenue South on Monday, May 4, 2026. (KSTP)<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Police say two teenagers are recovering after they were shot Monday night in Bloomington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Bloomington Police Department, the shooting was reported around 10:10 p.m. on Bloomington Avenue South between 80th Street and American Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS camera at the scene captured Bloomington police and Hennepin County deputies taping off a townhome development across from the Hilton Garden Inn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two victims, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy, had both been wounded by gunfire and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neither victim\u2019s injuries are considered life-threatening. The girl has since been released from the hospital, and the boy remains stable, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities believe everyone involved in the shooting knew each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police did not say how many suspects were involved, and no arrests have been announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
