The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers involved in the deadly shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis on Saturday were wearing body cameras, a U.S. Department of Homeland Security official told ABC News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is body camera footage from multiple angles which investigators are currently reviewing,\u201d the official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CBP officers tend to wear body cameras, a contrast from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which varies from agent to agent. ICE officer Jonathan Ross, who shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis almost three weeks ago, recorded the shooting on his phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During a news conference with other members of Congress reacting to Pretti\u2019s death, U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum, D-Minn., said she voted against a DHS funding bill that would have provided more body cameras for ICE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, they have them already in the thousands, and they refuse to wear them,\u201d McCollum said. \u201cSo Secretary Noem, have your officers suit up and put on their body cameras, just like our law enforcement does.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
