The NBA<\/a> has postponed the match between the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> and the Golden State Warriors following a fatal shooting in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24 on ABC, the game will now take place on Sunday, January 25 at 4:30 p.m. CT at Target Center, and will air on NBA TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe National Basketball Association game scheduled for today between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center has been postponed,\u201d read the statement shared by the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe decision was made to prioritize the safety and security of the Minneapolis community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minnesota residents have been protesting the Donald Trump administration and the federal presence of ICE and border patrol officers in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Saturday, a video of a man being fatally shot by ICE agents<\/a> went viral, which prompted more concerns about the safety of its citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz called on Donald Trump to remove the federal presence of ICE and border patrol officers from the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThank God we have video,\u201d Walz told reporters, \u201cbecause according to DHS, these seven heroic guys, it took an onslaught of a battalion against them or something. It\u2019s nonsense, people. It\u2019s nonsense, and it\u2019s lies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest victim follows the fatal shooting of Renee Good earlier this month, and the detainment of a 5-year-old boy<\/a> by ICE agents, amid Trump\u2019s ongoing immigration crackdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
