Music Submissions Guidelines Policy
WDEP Internet Radio is a privately owned and funded radio station dedicated to playing music and spoken word by independent artists and spoken word artists.
WDEP Internet Radio receives several CDs daily from local, regional and global artists. With that being said, it is impossible to add every CD received to the station’s playlist. In order to ensure that your music is reviewed, please adhere to the following guidelines.
- Mail CD to WDEP Internet Radio, 719 16th Street East #150 Minneapolis, MN 55404, Attention: Deron Pitts. Cassette tapes and/or other media will not be accepted.
- Please include a one sheet including: song title, stage name, album name, Myspace, biography, and picture
- The CD must be of professional quality and be commercially available
- A CD submitted for review will not be returned unless accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope. Postage must be sufficient to return CD to you.
- We are under no obligation to listen to everything that is submitted to us. With that said, please do not organize an email or calling campaign. This will have no bearing on if your music or spoken word is played on our station.
- Submission of your CD does not guarantee that your music will be played on WDEP Internet Radio.
- If you are emailing mp3s, we request 128k mp3 files. Please note that we cannot work with lower file types or variable bit rates. If your mp3s meet this standard, please e-mail no more than two (2) mp3s to submissions@wdepradio.com with Artist Track Submission in subject line. If you have more than two (2) mp3 we request that you mail a CD.
DISCLAIMER. By submitting your music to WDEP Internet Radio you warrant and represent that you are the owner or have full legal rights to submitted master recording(s) (including but not limited to copyrights, publishing rights, etc.) and you agree that WDEP Internet Radio is not responsible for false ownership claims to music being played. Your submission of music to WDEP Internet Radio constitutes your express and irrevocable grant of non-exclusive royalty-free license to WDEP Internet Radio to broadcast and rebroadcast your music in any and all media and in WDEP Internet Radio’s sole discretion. You recognize and agree that you shall not be entitled to payment or royalties of any kind (including but not limited to any and all statutorily required payments for public performance or otherwise) for WDEP Internet Radio’s broadcasting and re-broadcasting of your music in any and all media. It is agreed that the consideration of exposure to WDEP Internet Radio’s audience by virtue of said broadcasting and re-broadcasting is sufficient and fair. WDEP Internet Radio will NEVER use your music for anything other than promoting you!
INDEMNITY. By submitting your music you understand and agree that you shall indemnify and defend WDEP Internet Radio, its owners, members, employees, volunteers, agents and assigns from any and all liability emanating from a breach of the representations, warranties and agreements in the above paragraph.
Your submission of music or to WDEP Internet Radio constitutes your express and agreed upon content to the above terms.
MODIFICATIONS TO MUSIC SUBMISSION GUIDELINES. We reserve the right, at any time and from time to time, for any reason in our sole discretion, to change the terms of this Music Submission Guidelines (“Agreement”). We will post or display notices of material changes on the Site or we may e-mail You about these changes. Once WDEP Internet Radio posts them on the Site, these changes become effective immediately and if You use the Site after they become effective, it will signify Your agreement to be bound by the changes with respect to existing as well as new Content. You should check back frequently and review the terms and conditions of this Agreement regularly so You are aware of the most current rights and obligations that apply to You and the terms and conditions of Your Agreement with us.
